  1. Another exploration from the past. History In the area were several mining operations in the 19th century and many of the miners suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis. Therefore, in 1897, a sanatorium for the patients with lung disease and anemia was founded. In 1975, this sanatorium was converted into a rehabilitation clinic with physical therapy centre. It was closed in 2002. In January 2009, the former clinic was vandalized for the first time. Unknown people broke into the building and sprayed several fire extinguishers. The police search for the perpetrators remained fruitless. After many years of vacancy, there are plans to convert the building into apartments. My visit The large, L-shaped building had four floors and a newer extension. Exploring the interior was fascinating. The kitchen was almost completely furnished with stoves, large pots, cookware and much more. In many areas there were still furniture and interesting details, and on the lower floor the bathrooms and a swimming pool.   11. I asked a friend who lives nearby. He told me that you can see through the windows that many new sinks have been delivered. So the hotel will probably be renovated and will get a new use.
  12. The former hotel has been closed in 2007 and from the outside the building was unmistakably abandoned. But inside, it largely looked as if you only have to perform a few beauty repairs in order to use the hotel again. My visit was already in 2012. I was told that the entrances were sealed later.   19. I know these hairdryers in german swimming pools from my childhood, and they worked. Whether this one was still working, I don't know, the power was switched off.
  20. By the way, most of the green "plants" were made of plastic. The real plants (as in the pool) were dried up long ago.
  21. Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't know what the hotel looks like today. Emptied? Demolished? Vandalism? Reopened? No idea... I've never been there again because it's not near me.
