  2. Villa Spar is a modern architecture abandoned villa. Contemporary design and minimalist elements found here. Mix of wood, glass, stone and marble in a rather empty spot with an amazing swimming pool and an imposing living room ! The pictures are taken from two different visits, in the same year. One of my favorite places ever !! For now, the place is destructed.

Villa Margherita is an abandoned residential building, which appeared from some of the modern decor to have been used as an office type building before becoming abandoned quite recently judging by the lack of decay… Visited with Andy de Kay, Matt and Spider Monkey, it was the last spot of the day and light was fading rather quickly. The main entrance hall with its mosaic tiled floor and impressive curved staircase and detailed ironwork balustrade which makes up the entirety of this report was pretty much the only notable feature with the rest of the building being quite bland.   5. I didn't know if the property was still accessible. For this reason, I checked it the night before. The next day I visited the historic mansion in the early morning.     The third location of the day on a very hot day in Italy. It was a very nice place to explore. Beside the nice hallway and the beautifull bedroom there was not much to see. 1. 2. 3.

  8. Getting on quick with these Italy reports now. I'm aiming for at least one a day for now This place is just massive, it has its own chapel and cinema, it's been left for many years and has become slowly wrecked over time, but amidst all the wreckage and graffiti some great stuff still stands here, architecturally the place is stunning and that's mainly what I shot it for. When we turned up we noticed a load of cars parked around, we walked up and saw the front gates wide open too.. We carried on in and we noticed that the place was being massively tourbussed! Once you got a photo lined up some randomer would walk into frame, notice you, and carry on snapping away like you didn't exist We later discovered that this was actually an 'Urbex Tour' (God knows) and basically the guy that organises these gathers a location, makes sure it's open and then takes about 20 odd people along with him on a given date God knows what's happened to the umbex world Visited with AndyK!, PROJ3CT M4YH3M and Kriegaffe9.   9. A quickie, but a nice one...... Villa Margherita is an abandoned house in Italy. An ornate staircase curves around into the entrance hall.   11. Italy Villa PDO - 2015

    Hi all. Another Italy report from me This one was a back up because of the fail we had at another location earlier in the day. (Damn professional photo shoots) But what a back up it was We looked at what locations we had left, and this came up. We all thought "Yeah, f*ck it, let's go!"     Hey all, not posted for a while as my Flickr has been messing up! Here's one of the locations from our first day in Italy, with plenty more to come This trip will always be one of my favourites, I've never seen anything in the UK like I have in Italy. This place is falling to bits and there's not much to shoot besides the staircase, but it's a proper beauty! (Must add that a lot of the pics here are very similar, the best thing in here was the staircase) Visited with PROJ3CT M4YH3M, Behind Closed Doors and Kriegaffe9.   17. It was a bit of a race against time getting to this location. Towards the end of the day, a successful day - this being the 4th location. We wanted to make sure that we had enough time to do the place properly, not rushed. Sometimes when the light fades, one has no choice but to rush though. as it happened, we got there around mid afternoon, so rushing was not going to be necessary. That was just as well, as I had no idea what to expect at this location, however the size of the place was a massive surprise. What was even more of a surprise was the different feel of the various rooms. It was pretty dark inside for the most part, but the decay and nature reclaiming was brilliant - if that is the right way to describe it... In one of the main rooms was a fireplace - which had a very interesting feature - a cupboard above the fire, but below the mantelpiece. Odd, as whatever was stored there would surely get pretty warm Although it was still pretty sunny outside, the shutters made it a bit of a nightmare to get any decent shots - although in some ways it also added to the atmosphere of the place In the basement was the remnants of brewing - quite whether this was just for the consumption of the house - probably - I don't know. Would be nice to have that sort of cellar though. Wine on tap - quite literally. Yep, I could do with that for sure The kitchen was a mess, they could have tidied up really On the way back to the car, I noticed this wheel. Not sure what the purpose was though, outside the house and yet with some sort of connection to the floor below. Whether it was a case of turning the wheel from the ground level or below is anyone's guess. There was not much movement in it now though... Thanks for looking in

  19. The factory owners villa was a nice chance find on the road. Already quite affected, but still with some beautiful elements.   20. Evening all, Last place we visited in November's tour of Italy was this place. Not sure on the history but it was a dark, rainy morning and had to be accessed early doors due to the built up neighbourhood. Nothing else really to add but the photos. This place was visited on our last day during our first of two trips to Italy last year. Not sure why it was abandoned but it was fancy, abandoned, reasonably clean and empty.   22. Evening all, Not getting through stuff very quickly as per usual. Means I have a lot to process which keeps me occupied for months but creates a bit of a backlog. This place in the Italian countryside was visited during our first of two trips to Italy in the latter part of 2014. No history but was a park outside and go and find the way in type of place, over the pond is mostly relaxed as a lot of you already know but Italy is even more so. This place had some nice detail, however minimal but was one of many residences with large barrels and miscellaneous brewing items in the lower levels. Anyway on with some photos.     On to location No2 of me n Oldskools recent Euro skirmish... Felt a bit odd this one! A strong feeling of 'shouldn't be in here' followed us round, so we got it done as quickly as possible and did one!! Shame really, could have spent a LOT longer here... ...VILLA RO... Until next time...
