  1. It was a morning it was sunny, 25 degrees. I already had a few hours of driving in my arms when I arrive at the castle. I do like my habit, a small tour around the castle to watch the outside architecture and also find an entry. I managed to find an entry that made me go through the underground. In the underground I find a small staircase to go up, it remains only a small door and I'm officialy in the place. My first impression (when i see the big orange staircase) was "there someone who still lives here" The furnitures are in perfect condition, nothing is damaged, the paint of some ceilings begins to flake ... I decides to explore at great speed in case something could happen. 45 minutes later, I'm outside and falls on the neighbors with whom I speak 1H. The neighbors, who are also the guardians of the castle tell me that since 1951 no one lives in the castle, but there is an owner today ... What luck to have been able to explore here. I let you appreciate the intérior. FULL SET on my web site: http://www.msixphotography.com/reports/gallery/chateau-jumanji/#reports Some pictures of this place:
  2. O/T - Animal Rescue and the EU

Hey UE chums (and hopefully animal lovers) I've a petition for you to have a look at, and hopefully sign. Many tears is an animal rescue centre in West Wales that takes in all sorts from all over the UK and Eire. The rehoming policy in Ireland ('the pounds') is 5 days and then a rescue is euthanised as the resources are so stretched that there is not enough time to keep taking in stray's and to hold the rescues they currently have. Many Tears have foster homes that take strays until the centre (based in Carmarthen) can find forever homes for them. They and many of the centres volunteers travel over to Ireland and bring back as many strays from the pounds as they can and place them in foster homes all over the UK until they can be rehomed fully in appropriate homes. However, the EU is trying to get a bill passed that to transfer dogs from Southern Ireland to the Mainland that they have to have Rabies shots and be kept in quarantine for 21 days. This is unnecessary as Rabies has been eradicated from Britain and Ireland since the 50's but this is irrelevant to them. Obviously this would mean hundreds, even thousands of animals would be put to sleep immediately as there just isn't the space to home them in Ireland until they can pass the quarantine period and come over to the mainland. Not even given a fighting chance Here is some information on Many Tears - http://www.manytearsrescue.org/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/south/series6/stray_dogs.shtml Some info on Rabies - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18188682 And the petition in Question - http://www.thepetitionsite.com/649/515/007/eu-ruling-threatens-the-future-of-dog-rescue-organisations-in-ireland/ if you don't want to sign, that is your choice. But could you please post it up on your Social network sites. The more people who see it the more who possibly sign. Thanks for taking 5 minutes out of your day to read my post Barracuda.

  4. The history on this place isn’t being quoted ,no doubt it will all come out in depth at some point just not by me and not today! Originally posted by Mr Raddog..big respect ! This was our 2nd splore of the day which for me started with the alarm waking me up at 2.30am ,quick cuppa and in the car and on the road by 3am. After we’d got round sevs we headed for munch and then set off to meet Troglodyte and Peach for our tour round the labs..didn’t spend a huge amount of time here due to it being such a long day by the time we arrived,so not a huge amount of pics ,and none from the manor house. Visited with Space Invader Obscurity peach and Trog Apart from a brief glimpse of secca out of a window was a relaxed explore..Big shout to Trog And Peach for the invite on something ive wanted to see since the first report went up..
