  1. Solo Explore Background; A pretty standard office building and the 5th tallest building in Pontefract (Woopidoo). Currently disused other than the second floor which is home to UKA 24/7, which is something to do with boiler services/insurance ect. The upper levels have plans to be made into flats in the near future. The Explore; So while waiting for a friends to finish work, i noticed a viable entry point. Having nothing else to do, i grabbed my camera gear from the car and in i went! Noting the cameras on the second floor outside UKA i took the lift to the top floor planning on getting to the roof. This however wasn't possible as with it being partly live the door was of course, locked . However i was not to be disheartened and i carried on! Whilst on the top floor, mid exposure, a door slammed. I grabbed my camera and took shelter behind a stack of roof tiles, waiting with ragged breath for the police/owner to appear... As the minutes passed it was clear that nobody was coming so i continued, admittedly with more caution and paranoia. Couple of externals; Rest of the set; Camera's and people working down there... LOL Lobby selfie I'd been in there that long that i was starting to take the piss All good fun, thanks for looking
  2. A completely ruined chateau in the Belgium countryside... But what a ruin! Worth a visit just for the glass elevator shaft... A bit of a trapse through the woods and we get the first glimpse... Thanks for lookin' in...
  3. King Edward VII Sanitorium, Midhurst, West Sussex. Currently undergoing a £180million renovation to turn it into luxury housing. The Chapel. Part of this building is now housing the sales office. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed
  4. A little bit of history on why this building lies empty: it has also suffered 2 major arson attacks (one in downstairs offices and one at the rear in the factory) but walking round there has been many more attempts early this year (2013) you can buy there full list of "useful" contacts (64,405 of them apparently) for the cheap price of £679.99 this is a great building really enjoyed walking round and the smell of engineering. also some amazing graffiti all around but i couldn't document everything there was simply too much Full set: www.flickr.com/photos/samcain/sets/72157635023996090/ some panoramic's "think outside the box" from the fire escape stairs so glad i got to the roof most of the office's are trashed the place is massive it had to be done (i was really surprised to find them still lined up!) ther is always time for a chair from the most recent fire a lot of open open bits of old oil the remains of the Renault parts production line didn't except to find this in the middle of the factory looked like there were trying to keep something secure any ideas??????????????? didn't except to find this in the middle of the factory looked like there were trying to keep something secure any ideas??????????????? from the first major fire factory in it glory days mail room old parts this is a smaller building at the front not really sure what this was used for but its now used as a squat secca hut something tells me that Secca will be a bit slow to react
  5. Again sorry to be the bringer of bad news but after seeing this factory yesterday via car, it is entirely bricked up from the front following another arson fire. It may still be accessible but not sure for how much longer.
  6. Explored on the first day of the year of double digits in temperature, a whole 10 centigrade !. This was explored with two non-forum members and had a large twist to my usual explores, we when to this location to have a mess around photoshoot with 40's dresses... sorry i didnt put one on ;]. Short history copied from my first vist : An automotive parts factory which was shut down towards the end of 2008 after being in operation for 20 years. Upon closure the factory axed 200 jobs. In its prime the factory supplied a lot of parts to major manufacturers in the general area. Will add a couple of shots from the shoot of the two lovely ladys, and link the rest to the bottom, unless you want to see more Upon walking up to the location, fires from pikes where evident from the outside, which was a shame to see Cars can't go in, but apparently people can , also i guess it stops people loading up vans Not much has changed inside besides the more graffiti First off a quick twirl for the two lasses Sadly the forklift had gone =[ Workers forgot some of their stuff, surprised these where still here, nearly everything has been stripped out We took a break and stopped for a spot of tea After one of the girls nearly fell down this.. we wondered where the hell it goes too.. saddly it was flooded .. hmm From a distance we couldn't work how this was floating... saddly no poltergeists =[ but a thin wire We found HENRY ! (love you if you get this) The room we took these photos in .. really stunk of gas.. which was kinda alarming o.o The girls where being flirty, sadly there where no workers =[ And the upstairs was more trashed then i remember Quick shot from the roof The girls where getting bored d: So we decided to go check out the secca hut Oh so advanced ;] How these where still here ill never know, a few yards from the main road... And finally ending with a funny face d: cheers for looking rest can be seen : http://www.flickr.com/photos/urdex/sets/72157633207751010/ & http://www.flickr.com/photos/shaddam/sets/72157633198499692/with/8632222253/
  7. First report so i'll start off small . An automotive parts factory which was shut down towards the end of 2008 after being in operation for 20 years. Upon closure the factory axed 200 jobs. In its prime the factory supplied a lot of parts to major manufacturers in the general area, now the boring stuff is out of the way to the photos !. also if anyone has any more info on the history of this place it would be interesting to know about =] No thanks i'm good d= The whole place had interesting graffiti. venturing up stairs to the offices, as expected pretty much everything was worse for ware. venturing back down, we didnt know this stuf was but we didn't hang around for too long and saw this on the way out, whoops Rest can be seen here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/urdex/sets ... 173090292/
