  1. The North London Mail Centre was established in 1904 Sager bought the 500,000 sq ft North London Mail Centre for £30m in 2003. The site is now a £370million development called the 'Islington Square Project' providing nearly 43,000 square feet of green space across rooftops in the heart of Islington. The Islington Square project will become a luxury complex of 356 homes alongside shops, cafes, restaurants, offices, a health club and a cinema. Model of how it will look when completed I visited here 3 times in as many months with a few different people, skeleton key, adders, monkey and gabe if I remember rightly. We went up the crane twice, up on the roof of the main building, and down into the bowels of the construction site. It's a big playground with a few things to do. The main building although completely stripped out looks as though it will have it's exterior retained. The site is also home to a live royal mail depot so there is always some activity down below.     Took a wrong turn the other day and noticed this, what looks like an old sorting office? Anyone had a snout?
  3. 2013: Demolished, now being turned into Morrisons 2012: I found this on another urbex forum. After not really doing much exploring recently, I decided to give it a shot. I visited this place with Northern_Ninja, and was the designated driver for this day! Once a hive of activity, this large Royal Mail Depot in South East England received and distributed mail all across the UK. Closed since Summer/Autumn 2011, it has gone downhill fast, and the interior and exterior reflected the weather on the day we visited! The site has been bought by Morrisons supermarkets, who in Summer 2012 unveiled plans for a new superstore with 450 car parking spaces, two blocks of houses and flats, a new school and a hotel. This development is expected to bring in 300 new jobs to West Watford if approved. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 #9 #10 Not a great location by a long shot, but a good mooch on a rainy day.   4. Last explore of 2012 brought us to this old Post Office in the middle of Steeltown. I don’t know how long it has been closed but it looks to have been quite some time.
