Belgium Powerplant IM, July/2019

A couple of months ago i visited a real classic in the urbex scene in Europe. Powerplant IM.

This Powerplant was build in 1921 in a modernistic industrial style which was very futuristic for the time. The facility in its whole was also one of the most modern powerplants in the whole country.

In 2007 after a lot of rallies against this coal plant this complex was shut down due to that this place was responsible for 10% of the total co2 emissions in all of belgium.

I also made a video where i tell the history of this place!

Much has changed there and has been removed in recent years. Very nice set & video! It's impressive, standing inside of a cooling tower.

Yeah we saw it from a distance, but we couldn't go in it because the floor underneath us was completely stripped. So we had to skip it

Amazed this place is still standing. I absolutely love that turbine that looks as though it has been decapitated!
