Location #1 of the ‘Who’s hand was that Tour’ - Chateau De Singes aka Castle of Monkeys
History
Not a lot of history on Chateau De Singes I’m afraid other than it was built in the 17th century and the last time it was occupied was in the middle of the 1970’s...
The first stop on second stop on my first Euro tour. I was surprised we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday morning.
Owners of a tobacco family suilt this stunning chateau and I believe the last resident was a well known philatelist.

Visited with Mookster and a non member on our 4 day road trip abroad. I've wanted to go and see this place ever since I first laid my eyes on photos of it, and it didn't disappoint! Was it worth the 16 hour drive? 100% yes. My favourite location on our road trip by far.

Ahhhhh Lumiere, a place everyone must visit at least once. It's one of those iconic derelict buildings which is instantly recognisable and very popular, and standing in it I could see why. It's utterly, utterly beautiful, there must be so much money tied up in the place that for it to be just...
Hi,
I've made this movie about our trip to this location, and we managed to get in! (Without paying someone :P )
Please take a look at the movie of this beautiful location. Everything went fine, until the end, we almost got caught :P
Evening all,
Another report and a small place that was pretty empty and is slowly becoming another popular spot on the tour bus and who can blame them?
Beautiful artwork on the walls and some great stairs is the sum total of this explore but worth the hour we spent there. Nothing in the rooms...
Hi,
After all the stories i've heard about this location, that it's impossible to get in, or to get away without being caught, me and my crew finally managed to get in!
And WHAT a beauty it is! I can understand now why it's so heavy guarded. The interior is so beautifull, and much of it still...
Here's my view/report of an old and abandoned chateau/manor somewhere in Belgium. The decay in this one was a bit overwhelming (in a good way)

Originally constructed in the beginning of the 17th century for a royal family, after two hundred years of additions and renovations it was sold and used as a factory in the 19th century. It has been home to an alcohol distillery, a sugar refinery, and a tobacco factory. Now its being...
Somewhere in Belgium, in a small town, there is a big mansion. It belonged to the mayor (i believe). Quite an amazing experience, cause the electricity was still on and they were keeping up the garden.

If, like me, you like extremes of decay well you're in for a treat.
Chateau Congo is the name given to a huge Chateau in a tiny village in deepest darkest Belgium. I first saw it a year or so ago on a Belgian forum and instantly knew I wanted to see it, however finding it turned out to be very...
