Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had an amazing trip. We hadn't known that it would be the last one before the long break. We decided to spend our winter holidays in Budapest to visit Mangalitsa Festival. The event took place in Liberty Square and it was amazing. Except for great meat, there was rock music which created a unique atmosphere. But we found something more interesting than the eating - a tenement house that turned out to be an abandoned Adria Palace:cool: We explored this place and we were listening to music from the festival. So, we can tell that was the urbex in rock'and'roll rhythms.

Ok, but what actually was placed there? The building was a marine academy. You may ask: who could found a marine academy in the country without access to the sea? You're right because nowadays Hungary really has no access to the sea. But Adria was erected before WW1 when the Austro-Hungary existed and it bordered with Adriatic.

You are probably interested in the interior. Inside we found a lot of gems like a glass balcony, moldings, a gold-plated fireplace, and a piano. You can see all of them in the pictures below.

Thank you for a lot of nice words. I'm so glad that you appreciate my job  Hopefully travel in 2021 will be more available and you'll visit Adria too.
