The Agecroft power stations were a series of 3 coal powered stations across the North of England. These ran from 1925 to 1993 with the main power stations being demolished in 1994 (after a small delay due to nesting Peregrines)
Im not sure if anything else remains other than this which is essentially a large distribution room & a beautifully decaying control room.
Explored a some weeks back with Dan B, I loved this place! it just had a magical feel about it & thankfully is devoid of any vandalism.
I really hope this place is preserved & not demolished but Im not sure what the chances are!

Thanks Andy they have remained in unusually good condition too, long may they stay like it!

That place is a gem! Glad you showed other parts you don't usually see, normally it is just the control room.

Thanks Kp, true the rest of it is pretty empty, but its still an exceptional building throughout!

That's a great report, I'm a sucker for dials so pleased to see these.

Last few reports I have seen have had great examples for more submissions for themed threads.

Fantastic report. Sadly last I'd heard, this place had been gooned up pretty badly and is apparently now utterly destroyed. Shame. You really don't see those sorts of dials and switchboards anymore.

Not true the goons didnt get to it, there was not a scrap of graff but unfortunately its now been stripped bare.
All the gauges etc were simply thrown in a skip. I know a few people did "liberate" some which I dont normally approve of but its more criminal to simply send em all to the scrap yard imo

I definitely agree that being saved for posterity wins over throwing into a skip in this case.
I was actually in that building but sadly failed to reach the upper level šŸ˜¢

It was a bit of a challange to find, we spent a good while in the main building & likewise the room below the control room before realising u have to leave the site & re-enter through the live yard the other side to find the external stairs. I remember sitting in main building scratching my head then could just make out the staircase on google that gave it away!
