After hearing the news of the fire and seeing some pics I thought I would go and have a quick look myself. So with the strong smell of smoke hanging over the site I had a quick nose about before this site is demolished completely.
Both I and Trench have visited this site before viewtopic.php?f=11&t=443&hilit=duke+of+kent and we both agreed that there was an odd, if not spooky feeling about this place. However on this ten minute visit there was none of that atmosphere left. The only remaining entrance is flooded and all the doors and windows have been boarded up. The Duke has gone from been a scary and dangerous sight to visit to been a total no go area. Pity :|
