Fantastic. Something I've read about but never had the opportunity to experiment with.

Ryda, http://www.dpfwiw.com/ir.htm Is a really good guide on NIR photography (NIR because generally speaking it's near infra red, and not true infra red)

To get a more true infra red you have to get a converted camera or pay for one to be converted ( which is what is happeningto a lot of the older canons and nikons) I have been told by my tutor that has had an old 350d converted that it is around £150, and then get an infra red filter. I have had one lecture and a small go at it myself and will be getting a converted camera at some point.
I know a guy that sold his converted camera and will only use a filter for his Picture. You can see some of his ir here http://www.urbanatrophy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4498

Impressive shots, i've been reading into this and im not planning on converting my camera, sounds a bit dodgy. I'd rather spend like 25 quid on a Hoya R72 and see what i can do
