First documentary mentions of the church were in 1242 and 1320. The current late Gothic nave dates from the period of reconstruction in the years 1517-1520. Initiator of the church building was the former owner of the manor, Johann von Rabenstein. About the architect is not much known, chronicles mentions only a "Master Hans with journeymen". The church once had three towers with battlements and loopholes. The north tower was repeatedly restored because unstable ground in the 16th century and finally demolished during the Baroque reconstruction by the architect Johann Mathes Leistner 1783-86. Parts of the church burned down in 1964. Gradually, the church will to be restored. It was a permission visit.

The baroque Deanery (former residence of the dean) below the church was built in 1755-56 by the architect J. Poepperle. Inside stucco ceilings and the original barrel vault are preserved, but unfortunately this building was not accessible.

14 ("Wirtschaftseheleute" were married couples who owned a pub. Later, someone has replaced the image of the woman against a picture of a man . For whatever reason...)

WOW, that first external is beautiful and the fog was definitely on your side that day. Inside some stunning features, the balcony is lovely and those stained glas windows are a thing of beauty. Would have loved to have seen this in it's day. Great work Andy (y)

Bloody heck!! Really liking this. First shot i agree is absolutely stunning mate and the externals, as has already been said, look amazing. Good to see they seem to be working on the place and it's not gonna fall further into ruin :)
