France Hôtel dans la neige (visited 11/2016)

It was difficult to reach this place one week ago. The first street was so icy and snowed up that I couldn't go on. The second road was already closed due to the snow. Just the third attempt was successful, coming on a road from the other side of the mountain. But it took a lot of time, because I had to drive very slowly and carefully uphill.​

There followed an arduous walk through deep snow until we finally arrived at the former hotel. Nothing special - it was stripped inside, in a bad state and partly with a lot of graffiti; but you still could find some nice views with growing plants in the upper rooms.​

The hotel opened in 1927. Partly destroyed by fire in 1970, then rebuilt with swimming pool and discotheque.​

The hotel was closed in 1994.​

There's some seriously lovely decay going on in some of those rooms. Good Stuff!
