Mansfield General (Visited Jan 2011) 2013

Upon hearing about the demolition of Mansfield General, I had another look over the shots I have from there. A cracking hospital explore, closed for 20 years or so with plenty of decay and exploring goodness inside.

I believe demo has started now which is a shame as the UK is about to lose another top location.

These pictures were taken over two trouble free visits back in January 2011, the first with Rusty, the second a week later with both Rusty & Critical Mass.

I do love a derpy, peely paint hospital, and this is lush, such a shame i will never get to see it but you have captured it lovely

Thats good to see and a shame regarding the demolition as can clearly see its a cool splore with lots to offer the likes of us.

I guess none last for ever just seams those that have been around for a good long while will do.

Shame I kept putting this one on the il do it next time list as now never will.

Very nice set.

I understand the morgue's gone, and a few outbuildings knocked down ... and the legendary Mansfield 3333. The rest will take some time given the shed loads of asbestos.

I'm going to have a look ASAP before it's too late.

Bloody loved this place, one of my ultimate UK explores.

Real shame it's going but it was well overdue by the sounds of it so it's lucky it held out just long enough for me to see it last year.
