River Grom culvert - Sept 2014

visited with alanmowbs82 and captain_kid this culvert runs for about a mile and half, it has three different build techniques, prefab concrete rings, round victorian and egg shaped, I'm assuming that the downstream half of the culvert was changed from victorian brick to the concrete to accept an overflow pit from the main sewer (pic 4&5), although the floor into the overflow chamber wasn't particularly slippery so i'm assuming it doesn't see that much use

cherrs stussy, unfortunatly this is literally all there is to photograph in the place, i missed a couple of the manhole rungs but other than that it's just one long, straight tunnel!
