A little while back I posted my initial report from the site from a few days after closure and as you'd expect it was full of equipment. Living fairly close to the hospital and with a few few hours to kill we decided to have mooch and see what was left.
Spoiler alert, nothing.

Still I thought it would be interesting to do a sort of "Then and Now" type of report. I'll also use it as a chance to chuck in some unused photos from the original visit.

The Original Report

Quick History
Papworth Hospital was founded at Papworth Everard in 1918 as a sanitorium in the first world war, directed Sir/DR Pendrill Varrier Jones.
The hospital branched out into thoracic and then cardio surgeries later in life. Then performing one of the first successful heart transplants.
Later the hospital would venture into the first Non-Beating heart transplant as well as the first Heat, Lung and Kidney transplant in one operation.

The hospital relocated to Cambridge in May 2019.

Quick selfie.

Anyway that's all. Not much else to see really.

Interesting contrasts, they certainly didn't hang about stripping her out.

Indeed they didn't, even when i initially went over the course of 2 weeks things were slowing vanishing. If the operating lights weren't LED types they'd probably have stayed.
