The mansion, located in a small town in the northern half of Germany, belonged to an elderly couple. Documents from the bank indicate that they took out a mortgage on the house in the mid-1980s. After the death of her husband in the early 1990s, the wife ran the pretty accommodation alone. I don't know when the guest house was finally closed. Surprisingly, it's still listed in some online booking portals.
Most of the rooms on the ground floor were quite messy. In contrast, the rooms on the first floor, located around a gallery, were still pretty neat and mostly in good condition.
In addition to a piano and old furniture, there could still be found numerous other nice pieces in the building, as well as several old pictures in the attic.
