  1. No, it's Zeche Friedrich Heinrich that has been demolished. There will be a gardening show in 2020. There are only a few adminstrative buildings left.
  2. I know the Ruhr region being active from many trips to visit my grandparents in my childhood. Chimneys were smoking all over the way on the left or right of the highway. Last year the last active coal mine was closed. So I definately had to explore an old mine. Unfortunately I decided for the wrong one - it already has been demolished. Being disappointed from the first stop I decided to visit a not that spectacular mine that was around and surely open.   3. It had 27°C when I visited Rosemarie's really tiny mold house. Humidity and mold hampered breathing. The narrowness inside made it hard to find a good postion for the camera.   6. btw: visited in 04/2019 Just to make sure: the thread title is of course not the clear name of the church. I think it's named St. Urban because it's situated right in the center of the town's living area - quite urban.
  7. I am not sure about the style of the window glass. But I know this kind from mainly modern churches (at least in this area of Germany). I suppose them to be renewed after the second world war which would mean it's the style of the 50th or 60th. I tried to find out more about the church but information is rare.
  8. Built in the early 20th century this church closed its doors in 2008. Although there was an open window and a ladder I decided to take the way through the tubular shaft beneath the church to enter the location. It has been something I've been looking forward to since planning the trip.   12. I have never been happy with the results of my expolration but nevertheless it was one of my absolute favorites. This outstanding piece of Brutalism architecture placed in the phenomenal surrounding of the beautiful historical city. PORN!
