  1. A very strange house of an artist or similar. Very overgrown, in the middle of a small forest. Inhabited by at least 10,000 bloodthirsty mosquitoes ...! Unfortunately, some of the ornate statues have been destroyed in recent months. Inside it was quite dark, so I lit the photos with a torch. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
  2. A. E. was a successful craftsman building music instruments. He met a girl, married her and became father of two kids. Sadly he died early. His wife, getting older, decided to bequeath everything to the kids. But she became very old and outlived her kids. When Ms E. died she was 99 years old and bequeathed the house to a religious order. For more than 10 years the house faded in obscurity.   3. I found this villa in the middle of nowhere in Italy. I hardly know anything about the history. A calendar on the wall shows the year 1998. At this time the property was probably abandoned.   4. Built in the early 1700s, and modified during the 1800s, the external stables have recently collapsed.
  5. This was the first stop in Italy with Elliot5200 & @shaddam last month. I don't know any history unfortunately but it's a stunning building and I wouldn't mind living in it!   6. Villa Scorpio History Unfortunately I couldn't find a great deal of history surrounding this location but from what I have gathered it was built at some point during the late 19th century. The former occupier owned a large cement factory in the same town. I would imagine the family were quite well off, as it was very grand and exquisite building. The design of the villa shared various similarities with the Art Nouveau style of architecture. Featuring a stunning staircase, a beautiful skylight and an decorative greenhouse. Our visit Visited with @darbians and @vampiricsquid on our tour of Italy last summer. As soon as we arrived outside, we knew it was going to be a good explore. Hope you enjoy my photos! A great little house set in its own grounds in a sleepy Belgium village , we were just to late with this one most of the goodies had been removed by the time we got here so heres what we saw ..... 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Seems the owner is a bit more cautious these days and sents people away sometimes being a bit aggressive. We only dealt with 2 people getting flowers in the garden which left us alone after giving us a 'dark' look after i said 'photography, ok?' Great Villa must have been impressive when the director of the nearby chocolate factory lived here. The factory we didn't explore, to many people outside. grts, Peter

  12. An abandoned villa, named SS after the town it resides in. Not much to say really, a waste of a perfectly good house!   13. Once upon a time there was a prosperous father and his mentally ill son. Instead of giving the son to lunatic asylum he decided to try to cure his son on his own. Breathing his last the father willed to spend all of his property to the research of mental illness. According to his directive Villa Sbertoli was converted into a lunatic aylum after his death. During the times several buildings and a huge park were added. The asylum has been closed in the 1970s. The paintings in the cellar witness the inhabitants situation at the asylum.   14. There wasn't much to see at Villa amante del sole but I really love its architecture. Built in the 1930s the whole building was able to rotatet 360 degrees - following the sun.   16. Villa Spar is a modern architecture abandoned villa. Contemporary design and minimalist elements found here. Mix of wood, glass, stone and marble in a rather empty spot with an amazing swimming pool and an imposing living room ! The pictures are taken from two different visits, in the same year. One of my favorite places ever !! For now, the place is destructed.
  17. How to post a report using Flickr Flickr seems to change every time the wind changes direction so here's a quick guide on how to use it to post a report... Step 1 - Explore and take pictures Step 2 - Upload your chosen pictures to Flickr like this.. Step 3 - Once your images are successfully uploaded to flickr choose a category for the location that you have visited... Step 4 - Then "Start New Topic".. You will then see this screen... Step 5 - Now you are ready to add the image "links", known as "BBcodes", which allow your images to display correctly on forums.. Step 6 - Then click "select" followed by "view on photo page".. Now select "Share" shown below.. Step 7-13 - You will then see this screen... Just repeat those steps for each image until you're happy with your report and click "submit topic"! You can edit your report for 24 hours after posting to correct errors. If you notice a mistake outside of this window contact a moderator and they will happily rectify the problem for you
  18. I didn't know if the property was still accessible. For this reason, I checked it the night before. The next day I visited the historic mansion in the early morning.   21. Getting on quick with these Italy reports now. I'm aiming for at least one a day for now This place is just massive, it has its own chapel and cinema, it's been left for many years and has become slowly wrecked over time, but amidst all the wreckage and graffiti some great stuff still stands here, architecturally the place is stunning and that's mainly what I shot it for. When we turned up we noticed a load of cars parked around, we walked up and saw the front gates wide open too.. We carried on in and we noticed that the place was being massively tourbussed! Once you got a photo lined up some randomer would walk into frame, notice you, and carry on snapping away like you didn't exist We later discovered that this was actually an 'Urbex Tour' (God knows) and basically the guy that organises these gathers a location, makes sure it's open and then takes about 20 odd people along with him on a given date God knows what's happened to the umbex world Visited with AndyK!, PROJ3CT M4YH3M and Kriegaffe9.   22. A quickie, but a nice one...... Villa Margherita is an abandoned house in Italy. An ornate staircase curves around into the entrance hall.   24. Hi all. Another Italy report from me This one was a back up because of the fail we had at another location earlier in the day. (Damn professional photo shoots) But what a back up it was We looked at what locations we had left, and this came up. We all thought "Yeah, f*ck it, let's go!"
