  1. Some history on the place which was indeed stolen, This wonderful looking property was built in the 1800's as a manor house and eventually became the only residential clinic for alcoholics within the Lincolnshire area. Dr Mostafa Morsy, a specialist of addiction treatment, spent around £300,000 bringing the former Heckington Manor up to scratch and opening a successful private practice for the treatment of alcoholism in the late 1980s. In 2003, the government had drastically cut funding for this sort of treatment and Dr Morsy had no other option other than to close the doors of his pride and joy. I explored this place with Hamtagger after we had done Bass Maltings, the day was still early and we had time to go and check it out. HT had visited in 2014 and he was sure it would be trashed more than what it was but we thought we would go anyway. He wasn't wrong. Easy enough to find and with the state of the place even from the outside I wasn't surprised really. More or less the whole house has been taken over by Ivy leaving me to only imagine what it must have looked like in it's splendor. Bearing in mind this is one of the oldest properties in the area It was a bit of a shame to see it like this really. We got in easy enough and within 30 seconds of being there it was clear that there wasn't going to be much to take away from here in the way of pics. At least we know what it is like though. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Thanks for looking
