  1. Visited one weekend in dark and cold December just before the weak sunset. I wanted to visit this place when it was reported due to the strange and surreal effects the sun had inside the plastic dome protecting the dish. From what I can determine, Zone Braams was a former satellite communications area built in 1969 and was in use for more than 40 years before being finally decommissioned. Current plans are to return the site back to a communications relay for the EU, but this has not happened. The place is very stripped out. All the buildings are empty and nothing really inspiring to take pictures of except this huge satellite dish. I only took a few pictures…..there are only so many angles you can cover of a dish. In this instance I guess quality of quantity! Pictures:
  2. Another location for our "Suits On Tour" Tour. This satelite communication area was build in 1969 and started communication in 1971. After more than 40 years of service the current owner decided to invest more than 3 million in to this location and is planning to build a new Satelite communication center to connect several EU countries.Construction should have started already. But still the old satelite is waiting to be demolished. Video Tour: http://youtu.be/4zqlhZ0vn7Y Thank You!
  3. An abandoned military communications installation in the Middle of Nowhere, Belgium. Still managed a run in with the local Chief Inspector of the Politie here who was driving home for his lunch - so if you do decide to go, try not to be in the open at around midday, as he may just be driving past! A hard one to do differently to other people as it is literally one massive thing. The rest of the site has been totally stripped out to the bare bones. Whichever way you look at it though it's a bloody impressive sight! Cheers for looking, more here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mookie427/sets/72157638491068713/
