  1. a recent visit with @woopashoopaa @Telf and @GRONK was a fun day out had by all of us.visited various locations so on to the police station after have a good look around and telf working out our way on site we spotted our entry point finally got in all was good headed streight upstairs was going well till we reached the ground floor and got busted. so not many pictures as i was more busy looking around and to be honest not really much to see a bit of history and pics.... The building has been empty since 2010, when the police force left Irwell Street for a new £16 million base in Castlecroft Street. A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “We recommend that the public do not enter condemned buildings and adhere to safety signs that are on these buildings. “We will arrest and detain anyone who is caught breaking and entering.â€
  2. How to post a report using Flickr Flickr seems to change every time the wind changes direction so here's a quick guide on how to use it to post a report... Step 1 - Explore and take pictures Step 2 - Upload your chosen pictures to Flickr like this.. Step 3 - Once your images are successfully uploaded to flickr choose a category for the location that you have visited... Step 4 - Then "Start New Topic".. You will then see this screen... Step 5 - Now you are ready to add the image "links", known as "BBcodes", which allow your images to display correctly on forums.. Step 6 - Then click "select" followed by "view on photo page".. Now select "Share" shown below.. Step 7-13 - You will then see this screen... Just repeat those steps for each image until you're happy with your report and click "submit topic"! You can edit your report for 24 hours after posting to correct errors. If you notice a mistake outside of this window contact a moderator and they will happily rectify the problem for you

  4. A friend of mine used to work for Chicago Rock cafe (now the Art Picture House), on Market Street, Bury. He swears blind, that while he worked there, he went through a door behind the bar, which took him into a red brick, pitch black tunnel that led underground. He says it isn't the cellar or under stage access from it's theatre days. Apparently, this tunnel links with others in Bury, that link the Elizabethan Suite and the church on The Rock, as well as others. Now, normally, I'd take this with a pinch of salt. But I know this guy, and I don't think he'd be having a laugh, then or now. He is adamant that it's there. Has anyone else ever heard this story? I'd love to know more. I plan on going in and speaking to management when I go back, but that will be a few months yet... Thanks Rob
  5. The iconic 'Sol Viva' in Bury is set for demolition :/ I had many a fun night in there as a 14 year old, treading the sticky carpets and throwing up after too many shots. Since it closed I've wanted to get in there; looks like I'll be too late as I won't be in my home town for a while. Looks like plans start on bank holiday Monday, but it's expected to take 17 weeks, so there maybe a short time to get them pics! I'd love to see old Sol before it's gone.   6. I have no idea what this factory did , what it was called or a darned thing about it to be honest. It is well and truly fubar'd but as you will know, dear readers, I quite like my sites fooked with almost no limit to the amount a place can be fooked and I'll still get something out of the place. It is also, as Mr Hunter commented, druggie central with only St. Cyprians in Liverpool and an old nurses quarters building in cheadle matching it for amount of needles at a site I have visited. I had company too...twice over. First time I had not been on site long when I heard at least three separate voices from below ... great I thought. I contemplated.. should I just carry on, should I GTFO to be on safe side. I decided on a half way house and started collapsing my tripod and started heading vaguely to my entry point ready to leave. I didn't rush and thought I'd see if they came within sight in which case I would have left .. I saw nothing so waited a little while longer before deciding "fuck it" and went to the furthest away part of the site and carried on. i did not see or hear them again. Then a while later a guy wandered in and started to walk straight towards me but on seeing me stopped dead in his tracks - I looked at him for around a second or two and then just ignored him and carried on...he turned and left. I was very lucky with the day - was a lovely day with a lovely quality of light.
