  1. My first post so here goes...Mods..if I've cocked it up please be gentle.. I'm sure you all know about Sevs so I won't bore you with the history.. We drove to Severalls from a sunny but chilly corner of Kent in lovely blue sunshine and arrived to find it dull and very much overcast! This should have been our first warning ! The grounds are covered in vicious brambles The fences are high and very pointy The place is huge It’s falling down We went on a day a host of Colchesters’ finest decide to exercise their huge dogs ! Apart from that…it’s full of corridors and I do mean full! So unless you like corridors jump pages now! A great day out…got to see about 25% of this place…you cannot really judge how big it is by the pics..no external shots as it was raining and the police were scouring the grounds! We never saw Michael on this outing..like us he was probably hiding from the Baskervillian Hounds ! The dark lonely corridor.. A tricky decision...left or right The Red Doors.. One of the many now empty wards.. Sevs contains a delightful mix of peeling paint ! The Red Chair...I'm sure many of you have sat in that ! Reflections of things past.. We were told to go through the White Door... Hope you enjoyed the pics...
