  1. After being picked up in the morning by 3 non-forumers, we made our way down south to our location (it was the first of 3 we had on our histlist for that day). Despite finding our original access point wasn't so accessible, we looked around, soon found another - and we were in! Thinking we'd seen a PIR (but in reality, it was just a red light) we proceeded to look around with caution. As you already know the history, I shall get on with the photos... We felt really uneasy in this corridor, almost like we weren't welcome and unwanted. After discovering a room with a door that was carpeted both inside and out, we headed to a different part sharpish! Maybe it would've been different if we hadn't known the history before we came here... After we'd got back to the car, I remembered that we didn't see the swimming pool or the library, and suddenly realised we didn't know where the library was or even if there was one (thought it might've been in another certain manor). After a quick phone call to Skeleton Key, we considered going back to find the library and the swimming pool. But because it was raining, we decided against it. After getting back home, one of the people I was with said she'd tried to open a door but it was locked - it turned out that was the door to the library! Thanks for looking! Splored with Skeleton Key, Lara, Trog and Peaches Crookham Court stands on the former site of Crookham manor house, built around the start of 14th century and destroyed in 1543, and subsequently Crookham House which was demolished around 1850. The construction of the current building started around this time and continued in two more phases over the next fifty years. It’s served several purposes such as a manor house, a junior school and a school for children of people serving at Greenham Common. It was abandoned for some time after the US Air Force left the area and purchased in 1961 when it was used as a boarding school until 1990 In 1988 three of the teaching staff were sentenced to a total of 26 years in prison for the long term sexual abuse of pupils, the school closed in 1989 and in 2012 another teacher, and then United Nations Head of Security in Kosovo was jailed for four years after a pupil filed complaints with police after informing his counseller of the abuse from his teenage years Yup, like some of the staff here would lend you 10p to phone Esther After we got out to get the externals we got spotted and gave it legs, we may have ended up using the neighbours garden as a short cut and found an animal graveyard, Pet Sematary or what?

  4. Hi all, I've held off from doing a report as the usual social media sites and boards will be awash with this especially after a record turnout on Sunday. It wasn't a group made for stealth but we had fun and no issues so it was all good. I have quite a few detail shots and other bits n pieces to process but this is mine so far. I only tend to process randomly and upload a few per night so I will a while before I finish the set as I do have backlogs of other days out to process and the upcoming tour to finish planning.   6. Former boys school long closed after Esther Ranzten exposed it as a hot bed for amorous teachers, I went to check it out with what appeared to be half of the forum. 4am start but pretty happy with how some of these have come out. As always, pointers and suggestions would be welcome... Cheers
  7. First stop on an excellent days exploring with a very early start in the super company of Mr Toby, Skankypants, Shush and Auntie Pat (was great to meet you both!) Judging by how many people were there when we arrived (Im suprised there wasnt a burger van and someone charging for car parking) I think its fair to say this old place has pretty much gone public now lol... sorry theres not much in the way of arty shots but I got a bit giddy with so much to see, it really is a lovely old house. I know it will be done to death, but heres my take on it, cheers for looking!
