  2. This ones a proper beauty. I'll be honest, the reason that this is currently uninhabited is because of an inheritance dispute, we were aware of this but did decide to visit and half of the places we visit are probably in this position. The house is pretty large and still choc full of interesting old furniture and other items. Architecturally it is also quite photogenic so there was a good mix here Just as a heads up, the neighbours are always watching and do call the police if they see you at all. We had to hide inside whilst the police spoke to a friend outside (who by the way, had the best acting skills I've ever seen!). Photos: Cheers, SM

  5. 3rd time lucky for me here! 1st attempt was a sat nav fail! 2nd attempt and access was sealed! Massively impressive house overlooking a similarly massive and impressive river... ...Manoir aux Statues... ... As always... Ta for takin' a butchers!

  7. This place i found thanks too some recognized pictures So no doubting and just go. In a rich and quiet neighborhood we arrived at 6 am with 4 urbex friends There were also a few guys inside also waiting for some light This place was one of the most beautifull locations i visited The bus was arriving at about 9 am because we were in there with a total of (i thougt) 18 persons. This mansion has been sold so we were just in time to visit it,as in today there's an active loud alarm #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 More to see at https://flic.kr/s/aHsjHpGwYy
  8. Emergency gear – Canon G12 This used to be a very wealthy restaurant and hotel in a forested area of Belgium. It hasn’t been more than some years since it closed. So far we found no sources explaining its decline. The only thing we know is that it lost its gastronomy stars nominations at the end of its lifetime – something must have been wrong. A few years after the last people ate caviar and lobsters here, not much is left. Most of the things have been removed, but what is left is still impressive. Election day offered enough distraction to enter unnoticed… 0. 1. 3. Last drink, anyone? 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. The roofs were most spectacular here… 14. 15. Fancy room, not many years old… 16. 17. Every bright place has its dark side… 18. 19. 20. Who dares to descend? 21. 22. 23. 24. The last groom... 25. 26. 27. 28. After all the excitement and looking around inside, we found a rather quiet and peacefull place in the garden... 29. 30. 31.
  9. ...is now a no go. In much the same vein as what has happened at Chaise Abbey, this notice went up on the outside of Manoir DP in Belgium a few days back. It reads... In my eyes this location is now off limits, we all enjoy nosing around big houses full of nice stuff but when it becomes personal like this there is a line crossed and it ceases to be 'urbex'. I hope others feel the same way, we must treat these places with respect at the end of the day.
