  1. This is the railway cemetary of Hungary, once honored, powerful machines now forgotten in the mud and dirt. Rust in peace!
  2. Actually these are not abandoned wrecks but pieces from the MALEV (Hungarian Airlines - not existing anymore) @ the Budapest Airplane Museum. Interesting fact - a pity - that Hungary haven't got national airline services these days...
  3. Some well known steel industry stuff. I found no one to go with me last sunday but i was very eager to check this place, so I went alone for a bit of scouting. My carefully crafted path on google maps turned out as usual a bit shitty (dang they removed that bridge...) but i found an easy entrance and walked in quite a few big empty buildings i assumed were full >< Going out i saw a guy with a fluo yellow jacket smoking near his car... Waited a bit and tried to go 30m in front of him as i had to go back... No reaction, i didnt look, oh well... Let's go to the coke plant... A car with an open door as i'm approaching, dogs start barking :s Big detour. The coke plant is double fenced and theres barb wire grr. I started with the old part but being a bit (very) tired and out of water now i decided to call it a day and crawl back 300km to my car... Not a very good idea to go alone the first time in those kind of places i guess... p.s.: I just saw the head of the guy with the dogs, no idea if it was security, the car was something like a dark grey/black maybe citroen c5, not quite "security" looking...

  8. Visited with The Elusive and two others. The Elusive have already posted lots of info, so I'll just post some of my shots :-). Some impressive art work on this ship. The Elusive in action. I thought the colours of the decay itself was quite artsy too :-). Thanks for looking :-)
  9. After the vintage delights of Dr Dents, it was time for the 'main event'!... Another 3 and a half hours drive and I was there, a few hours kip and up with the lark! And what a setting!! Picture postcard German valley cloaked in mist and thick with forest, alive with sounds of the dawn chorus, but I'm not here for the resident nature! So after brisk walk I was soon in and face to face with this... ...CYKLONKESSEL... As always, thanks for looking!!
  10. I've done this one before but fancied doing it again now I'm on the HDR... A collection of about a ten old Wolseleys, left for the elements to corrode and nature to reclaim... Really nice place to waste an hour or so... 'The Rusting Wolseleys'
