Hello once again everybody, now I'll get everything right on the first try (with BB-Codes and all). This is another Mansion, where I sadly don't have much information about either. I hope you enjoy the pictures nontheless. Instagram would be @ofcdnb for anyone interested. This building is confirmed to have been built some time around 1850. It is abandoned since AT LEAST 2013, when the first reports came onto the web. There are various documents lying around the building, either on the top floor in the storage area beneath the roof. Hope you guys enjoy. By the way, I hope no one hates me for linking to Flickr directly, as it would require me to export all images manually and upload all of them to various forums, which is more than time consuming. I was asked to link the pictures directly, so I decided to take the what I think are the best ones and embed them, and the rest of the pictures (which are more documentation than art) will be available on the Flickr Link. Hope that's okay with everyone. Greetings. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmt2Y9ob Report is from Dec, 2018. If anyone is interested at all, my instagram is @ofcdnb. Today I visit some kind of factory buildings near a train station. I'm unsure if this was part of some other factory or if those were standalone buildings. One from the two had a cafeteria, so it appears plausible that this was a seperate firm. I'm saying that because the buildings are located on a industrial area where many companies, warehouses and such are located. Enjoy! Full: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmcr8Da
I nipped over last night to check the fire damage. The only building that was on fire is the St Mary's building (which was a nurses home not a care home as I have written in this report). It has suffered damage to the right hand side of the building but is not totally burned out. There is a planning application submitted to demolish most of the buildings on the site including St Edwards. As far as I could see there has been no descision made on it yet. http://planning.northwarks.gov.uk/portal/servlets/AttachmentShowServlet?ImageName=253942 I also found this on the net (link below), it gives the whole history and a detailed report on all the buildings. There is still some unseen stuff here notably the chapel within the former St Gerards Hospital which is now offices. If demo goes ahead I'm sure it will become more accesible. It will be a shame to see these buildings go as it's a great urbex site imo.
