When you hear "Poland" you probably mean Warsaw, Krakow or Gdansk. But how about Lodz? Yes... Have you ever heard about this city? Maybe it's not the most popular city in Poland, but it's noteworthy. In the 19th century, Lodz was the capital city of the Polish industry. The city was full of factories, especially cotton mills. Nowadays, you can visit Lodz and admire former factories. Most of them are renewed and used as skyscrapers or residential buildings. You can find here the abandoned cotton mills as well. One of them is an abandoned Grohman's factory located in Księży Młyn - industrial district in Lodz. Ok, are you ready to visit this beautiful brick building? So, relax and join us!

On the other side, it looks not as spectacular as at frontside, but it's still beautiful. Here, we started to search for the entrance and... we found it!

The first object found int he building was... a skateboard! Unfortunately it was left by one of exploratory. It's not a part of the cotton mill

And of course industrial architecture.
Unfortunately, the object is stolen by scrap collectors and deteriorates every day. Probably it's the last chance to visit this amazing place. So, if you are going to visit Poland this year, you should check our urbex map and find a Grohman's cotton mill.
