This former amusement park in the southeast of the island of Cyprus, near the city of Larnaca, was founded at the turn of the millennium and was in operation until 2019. Lucky Star Park was a family business and entertained children and their parents. The concept of the park was for parents to relax while trained staff supervised their children.
Numerous attractions made Lucky Star Park the largest amusement park on the island. There were a variety of rides, such as: B. Bumper cars, a motorcycle racing track, water scooters, trampolining, roller coasters, a go-kart track (150 cm³ and 200 cm³), slot machines, restaurants and much more. In addition, various buildings in the park could be rented for birthdays, weddings, exhibitions, fashion shows, conferences and other events. The park's largest restaurant could serve up to 400 guests at a time.
The opening times were adapted to the hot climate of Cyprus. Lucky Star Park was open from Wednesday to Monday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight and had a day off on Tuesday. The rides were paid for with their own currency, the “Lucky Star Park Token”. Two tokens cost e.g. B. a ride on the bumper car.
At the beginning of 2020, the park was to be expanded to include a 1.8 hectare property with numerous new attractions. To date, the park has not resumed operations following the corona protection measures and the collapse of tourism in Cyprus. The theme park's website has now been taken offline. According to a post from June 11, 2019 on the park's Facebook page, the park is closed for renovation work. When you are there, however, there is no sign of any renovation work.
