The Maginot Line was a line of millitary installations built in the 1930s to deter invasion by Germany and force them to move around the Maginot line. It was named after the French Minister of War: André Maginot. The Maginot Line is now abandoned and there is a lot to explore including many bunkers, some parts of the line are now part of a museum but there is still a lot abandoned
Our exploration:
We didn't prepare ourselves at all. our flashlights were almost dead and we had no food, so it was a quick exploration. We entered the underground complex by climbing through a small hole in the wall and after that taking the stairscase that lead us +30 meters underground, it was huge! there was a lot to see but sadly our flashlights started to run out of battery after an hour. the pictures were not the best, but we wil definitely do a revisit soon!
there was still a lot of machinery left behind
