This old outdoor swimming pool is located on the Marne in the periphery of Paris. In the beginning you could still swim in the Marne and the outdoor pool was integrated into the river.
The beaches on the banks of the Marne were closed in 1970 due to heavy pollution and bathing in the Marne was prohibited.

As a result, the number of visitors declined rapidly. Numerous floods also caused damage and the bathing operation was then completely stopped in the 1980s.

A few years ago, an association wanted to convert the site into an international cultural center. However, this association has never gotten beyond cleaning up the premises. Lt. their statements would have been necessary at least EUR 2 million to make the site usable again.

The site has not been used for more than 30 years and is decaying more and more.
