Been really busy lately but finally getting around to getting some reports up.

This little place was my last explore of 2012, on a bitterly cold and overcast day. I received a tip off from a friend about this place in the middle of the countryside. As ever I did a couple reccy's to check if there was ever any activity, twice I drove past in the early afternoon and there was a car parked at the end of the drive. On the second occasion of the car being at the drive i hung around from a distance to see who it was, it turned out to be a elderly couple who apparently turn up every other day to feed the cats, hence the name Cat Hoose! The couple only stayed for around 30 minutes to give the cats food and milk and left. I am not sure if the couple were the owners or simply caretakers of this place.

A couple weeks later I decided to take my chance and have a look around, as the place is near a main road I decided to park at the entrance of a nearby quarry and walk though the quarry through a forest so not to be seen. The hike in wasn't too harsh and only about a mile or so.

The small dwelling is really a croft which has long since had its heyday, a couple of the barns had given way and roofs collapsing. There is a lot of small outbuildings stuffed with interesting things, this post could have been around 100 pics long, but I've tried to chop them down! the pics aren't the best quality for some reason!

Approaching the croft from the rear.

Inside the collapsed barn was a nice old bike

This place still had its oustide loo, complete with pot!

This garage once had a "Pear" in it, sadly it was gone now, unsure it it was stolen or sold, but supposedly a fairly rare motor!

The old barn still had a few interesting items left!

It soon became clear this little croft must of had some amount of bees, think I counted 12 hives!

The old greenhouse and some of the hives!

I wandered around the outside for a good while, the only thing left to do was go inside the house, the door was open, but the stench was unreal inside! Donning the P3 mask I entered, there was no electricity, it was very dark, it was obvious the place hadn't been lived in for a long time, expect for the cats! The place was reeking of cats piss n shit!

The wee cottar hoose was just a simple two up two down by the looks of it, with no signs of an internal bog, so I guess they made full use of the outside one!

The living area, if you could call it that!

I didn't dare venture upstairs, that is where the cats were, walking through to the other side of the house you go past the stairs, l looked up and saw 4 sets of eyes peering down at me!! Luckily they weren't vicious or anything, but no way was i heading up there, so not sure what cools things were up there!

The other ground floor room

No explore is complete without a piano, I always find them, very cool though!

The wee place was a nice wee relaxing explore except for the cats and the stench, oh and standing in cat shit beside the piano!

Hopefully you go this far and put up with the mediocre pics, thanks for looking!

Again apologies for the amount of pics, I get carried away and generally post too many!

Thanks for all the feedback though, much appreciated!

Thanks everyone, much appreciated, hopefully more to come shortly :D

The loo was pretty interesting but took me about 20 shots to get as I was standing on a woobly corrugated iron sheet try to balance keep the camera still whilst peaking the lens through the gap at the top
