This diesel engine power plant was inaugurated in 1929 and had an output of 8.6 MW.
In 1932 it was the filming location for the science fiction film FP1 doesn't answer by Karl Hartl with Hans Albers in charge.
World star Hans Albers arrived in his white yacht, which was anchored in the city harbour, stayed at the Hotel Goldener Löwe and had an American cruiser pick him up from there.
Unfortunately, I do not know since when the power plant is no longer in use.
The building is now a listed building.
Unfortunately, the entire control room is now covered in graffiti.
