Haslar Revisit - Tour Guide
We all know the history of The Royal Hospital Haslar now, so I'm not going to bore you with that
The Visit
This visit was like no other, me and the vampiric squid had arranged to give 2 non OS members a tour of the site, and thought we'd get there early, so we got there for 4am, so we could enter while it was still dark, to our surprise, our plan had gone rather smoothly, we all managed to get straight in, and into the building with no troubles.
We thought it would be best if we went and chilled out for abit while we waited for it to get light, eventually the sun started to rise so we headed for the roof for a few snaps up there. once we were done, we started our tour, we covered pretty much everything in no time at all. once we were done in the main building we headed ouside to grab some exterior shots, so we took a long walk around by the psychiatric unit, through to Canada block, and then to the catering block.
once we were satisfied, we moved on to the front of the main building so i could try to get a panorama (pretty chuffed with how it turned out
)
moving on to the final stretch of our journey, the vampiric squid told me he wanted to try and get into the morgue, we weren't too sure which building was the morgue.... but then it became obvious, right across the way, in site of the security hut!! " the chapel of rest " we managed to enter the morgue, and grab the snaps we wanted!
after that, we took a nice slow stroll and sat near the gates, when someone eventually turned up and asked us to leave the site.
