Warneton Raceway
Bit different this one, this old raceway was pretty popular in NASCAR Euro short track, stock car & later banger racing with a lot of upset in the community when it shut.
Pleasant explore this one on a triop earlier this year with @priority 7
Warneton Raceway was a short oval race track in Belgium with a history dating back to the mid-1950s. A cheaper alternative to BriSCA Formula One Stock Car racing, with early races featuring more standard cars.
The cars raced here evolved into more modified Super Stock Cars, which were later renamed Superstox, a class that has no resemblance to a road-going car today.
The track was rebuilt over the winter of 2002, extending its length to 420 meters and adding banking to the corners. The track was known for its "contact" racing style, where drivers would use their front bumpers to dislodge opponents.
Unfortunately the track closed its doors in 2023 but some goodies were left behind.
Thanks For Looking
