The North Wales Lunatic Asylum was the first psychiatric institution built in Wales; construction began in 1844 and completed in 1848 in the town of Denbigh.

The roof has been made safe supposedly to prevent further weather damage. After exploring it,the wife told me she still preferred Talgarth!!No pleasing em eh!

We start at the top with the Chapel

Some excellent shots there mate. Was a shame to see the state of the place, what a mess. Can't see it lasting much longer :(

Thats beautiful, the front elevation is like a grand country estate manor house, simply stunning, such a shame the elements and time have taken such a great toll on this place, lets hope some one rescues it in the near future, that chapel is lovely too, thanks for sharing Klemps very nice !
