Bloody hell what a collection that is!!!! As The Raw said, quite a few I've not even heard of let alone seen before.

Part of me thinks it's great to see these fascinating historical places have been documented properly before the vast majority got demolished or redeveloped.

The other part of me is insanely jealous  :22_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Probably one of the best reports on hospitals/asylums I've seen for a while!

Nice to see another person made it in to the Lawn (y)  and Rossylnee is always nice as it doesn't crop up too often. Fairfield I'd be interested in seeing inside if you have any pics as this was down the road from where I grew up.

thats some proper history there with many now no longer standing or converted.

I like this, a lot!

Just wish I'd been 1) a better photographer for some of the earlier ones and 2) had the money to make sure I got to all the others that have gone since 2008 and I never saw.

you've definitely gotten around a bit!

Thanks all. And what have you heard!? :? Haha.

They will all go in a book once there are no more left to visit.

And there are of course a few more on the (shameless plug) countyasylums.co.uk website :95_v:

I work at Hensol now (no longer a hospital thank god), did you explore much? Or just bits? I've been wondering what the basements used to be, perhaps the morgue? It's terrifying here, hearing the laughter and footsteps.

Just bits really, admin block and rec hall. The rest is either demolished or converted into expensive housing. Where do you work, and doing what?
