Asylum X - 2014

This is perhaps the most intact of all the remaining abandoned asylums in the UK. With it being located in my home town I have been desperate to get inside here for ages and I took a friend who was just as keen, he is also a pro at jumping over high things which turned out to be quite handy! Access is tricky, but after a couple of failed attempts and much brainstorming we figured out a way in. All the contents have been removed but the fact it is in such pristine condition makes it well worth a visit. Sadly I knew a guy that hung himself in here which made it a bit creepy for me, but also made me more intrigued to see the inside of the place somehow. A lot of dark things went down in here but I'll save the details for a later date. I hope you enjoy the pics, I accidentally had my camera set to the lowest possible image quality unfortunately but they didn't come out too bad considering.

This was in the secure unit, notice the top of the toilet door is slanted to stop people from attaching somehing to hang themselves with, sadly this wasn't always enough of a deterrent

Cracking shots, mate. I like the fifth shot where they seem to have added the word 'deceased' as an afterthought...! Looks like it's still in fantastic condition so obviously no vandals getting into the place just yet. I wouldn't mind a look at this myself and I think it's not too far from me. After Sevs last weekend, I've been bitten by the 'nut-house bug'... Nice work, dude!

Nicely done, the main hall used to be full of stuff. Have they removed the projectors also?
